TEXAS LAW HELP
Texas Law Help (.org) is THE website for do-it-yourself divorce and custody cases. It is maintained by the Texas Legal Services Center, a non-profit dedicated to expanding the availability of legal resources to low-income Texans. They offer FREE forms for filing divorces, custody cases, and protective orders, along with well detailed instructions for each step.
Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas
Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas helps low-income clients access the civil justice system by providing volunteer attorneys who donate free legal advice and representation, and by supporting and training those attorneys. Last year, VLS volunteer attorneys and staff provided nearly 5,000 clients with over 17,250 hours of free legal services.
Travis County Courthouse
The Travis County Courthouse is on Guadalupe St. between 10th st. and 11th st.
Protective Orders
Time is of the essence in seeking a protective order. Travis County outlines the procedures, but it is important to speak with a Wynne & Wynne, Austin attorney quickly if you want to seek this relief.
Texas Lawyer’s Creed
The Texas Lawyer’s Creed is a declaration of professionalism and civility issued in 1989 by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court.
